Development

At Vancouver Le Chéile, development is at the heart of what we do. As part of the wider Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), our club embraces a holistic approach to growth—ensuring that every area of our organization is supported, from coaching and facilities to administration and community engagement.

GAA club development touches on all aspects of a club’s activities. The primary goal is to promote participation at all levels and ensure the right structures are in place—both on and off the field.

Key areas of club development include:

  • Administration and governance
  • Finances and sponsorship
  • Games promotion and participation
  • Player development pathways
  • Referee training
  • Youth engagement and inclusion
  • Coach recruitment and education
  • Safe, accessible, and high-quality facilities

As a youth GAA club, we are committed to creating a strong foundation for future generations of players and leaders in our community.

GAA Mission

The GAA is a community-based volunteer organization promoting Gaelic games, culture and lifelong participation.

We are dedicated to ensuring that our family of games and the values we uphold enrich the lives of our members, families, and the communities we serve. We promote Gaelic games as a core part of Irish identity and culture, while welcoming people of all backgrounds.

GAA Vision

Everybody is welcome to take part in our games and culture, to participate fully, to grow and develop, and to be inspired to maintain a lifelong connection with our Association.
